Austen Gordon

Austen Gordon is a self taught artist, painter and maker currently based in Cape Town, where she works part time from her Woodstock studio. Austen's work explores illustrative realism, wordplay and aestheticism. She works with a range of mediums, though currently, predominantly with paint.

She is inspired by the written word, internal dialogues, juxtaposition of different worlds as well as ordinary scenes from life, such as food, architecture and functional objects.
