Collection: Emma Nourse

Emma Nourse is a South African artist and a graduate of the Michaelis School of Fine Art (2011), known for her expressive floral and still life works on canvas, paper and silk. Working through colour, gesture, and painterly mark-making, Nourse explores how complex human emotions can be conveyed through familiar subject matter that is abstracted and heightened.

Her practice draws on still life and floral arrangements as a way to reflect on longing, connection, joy, and the quiet passage of time - often holding beauty and fragility in delicate balance.

Emma lives and works in the United Kingdom. She is a mother to a young son and shares her life with her partner and their pets.
