Collection: Magdalena Ringle
Lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa
Magdalena Ringle is an adventurer at heart, documenting her experiences through the lens of a vintage film camera. Her work captures the essence of movement and place, shaped by years of exploration—cycling unsupported through Europe, backpacking solo from Germany to Georgia, navigating the layered streets of Johannesburg, and scaling the rock faces of the Cederberg.
For years, Ringle’s photography was deeply intertwined with fellow photographer Henry Daniels, with whom she often shared a camera. Their joint travels and creative exchange have left an imprint on both of their bodies of work, sometimes making authorship difficult to trace. Now, while pursuing a full-time career as a software design in Cape Town, Ringle continues to photograph, focusing on the intimate and often overlooked moments of her ongoing adventures.
