Henry Daniels is a Cape Town-based photographer whose work captures the raw, unfiltered energy of life. Shooting on a vintage manual camera from the Korean War era, he gravitates toward South Africa’s urban grit—faded shopfronts, fleeting street encounters, and the shifting light of the city.
For years, Daniels and fellow photographer Magdalena Ringle traveled and shot together, often sharing a camera and a creative vision. Their collaborative years shaped his approach to storytelling, blending documentary and travel photography with a strong sense of place. Today, while continuing his photographic practice, Daniels runs a travel company that allows him to explore new landscapes and cultures, always with a camera in hand.
