About the artwork, in Renée's words:  
Guitar, Deconstructed IV is part of my studio practice, and an ongoing study of form and colour. Using the guitar as muse, I continuously return to it as a space of reflection and growth, much like the still life. The guitar has a mysterious and feminine form, and if you look at the history of modern art, many artists have turned to it to study methods in abstraction. I have done a few over the span of 10 years myself.

Renée Rossouw, born in 1985 in Cape Town, South Africa, is an award-winning artist, designer, and architect renowned for her vibrant use of color, geometry, and pattern. Her diverse body of work encompasses patterns, products, murals, and fine art, reflecting a deep commitment to exploring African identity and contributing to the South African design industry.
