Jackie (b. 1982) is a Cape Town based artist who spent a significant portion of her formative years in Botswana where she developed a deep appreciation for nature and its vibrant colours. Eventually settling in Cape Town, she established her own art studio to fully immerse herself in the world of creativity.

From a young age, Jackie's artistic journey began in her mother's ceramic studio, where she honed her skills and nurtured her passion for creating. After completing her high school education, she pursued her interest in design by enrolling at Design Time School, where she studied interior design. Eager to expand her knowledge and artistic repertoire, she furthered her studies at The Cape Peninsula University of Technology, earning a Higher Diploma in 3D Design.

While working in the field of interior design for several years, Jackie's love for art remained a constant presence in her life. Feeling a strong calling to express herself through various mediums, she explored different artistic disciplines, including jewellery making, embroidery, linocuts, ceramics, and fabric painting. Constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities for growth, she currently focuses her creative energy primarily on working with gouache and acrylic.

In her captivating artworks, Jackie fearlessly experiments with color combinations and textures, drawing inspiration from the natural world that surrounds her. The beauty of trees and flowers serves as a continuous muse, guiding her artistic choices and infusing her pieces with a sense of organic vibrancy. Her willingness to embrace new techniques and mediums allows her work to evolve continuously, reflecting her artistic curiosity and exploration.
